1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the public website sunbeamworldschool.com (the "Website"). The Website is operated by Sunbeam World School, the brand name of Sunbeam World School Society ("we", "us", "our").

"You" means anyone who visits or uses the Website, including prospective families, enrolled families, students and other visitors.

These Terms cover use of the public Website only. They are not the admissions contract, the fee terms or the student handbook. Enrolment, fees, use of our learning platforms, student conduct, safeguarding and privacy are governed by the policies listed in Section 2 and by the documents provided to you at admission.

By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. Policies for Enrolled Families

If your child is enrolled with us, or you are applying, the following policies apply in addition to these Terms:

• Admission and enrolment: Eligibility Criteria, Admission Process and the enrolment documents provided at admission;
• Fees and refunds: Fee Structure and Refund Policy;
• Learning platforms and student conduct: School Policy and Rules and Essential Requirements;
• Safeguarding and bullying: Anti-Bullying Policy;
• Personal information, photographs and recordings: Privacy Policy.

3. Cookies

The Website uses cookies to make certain features work, to remember your preferences and to understand how the Website is used. Some of our analytics and advertising partners may also set cookies. How we use cookies and the personal information they collect is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the Website may not work properly without them.

4. Our Content and Your Licence

Unless stated otherwise, Sunbeam World School Society and its licensors own the intellectual property rights in all material on the Website, including text, images, videos, worksheets, logos and designs. All rights are reserved.

You may view, download and print material from the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use, including use with your own child or students, subject to these Terms. You must not:

• Republish material from the Website, for example on another website or social media account, without our written permission;
• Sell, rent or sub-license material from the Website;
• Reproduce, duplicate or copy material from the Website for commercial purposes;
• Use our name, logo or other branding without our written permission.

Course materials and resources provided to enrolled students through our learning platforms are licensed under the enrolment terms, not under this Section.

5. Public Comments

Some parts of the Website may allow visitors to post comments, reviews or other content ("Comments"). Comments reflect the views of the people who post them, not the views of Sunbeam World School.

Comments may appear on the Website before we have reviewed them, and we do not monitor the Website continuously. We review Comments that are reported to us and may check others from time to time.

When you post a Comment, you confirm that:

• You are entitled to post it and have any permissions needed to do so;
• It does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights;
• It does not contain defamatory, offensive, indecent or unlawful material, or invade anyone's privacy;
• It does not identify, or share personal details, photographs or videos of, any child without their parent's or guardian's permission;
• It is not used to advertise or promote a business or any unlawful activity.

Licence for Comments: you allow Sunbeam World School Society to display your Comment on the Website and to edit it for length, clarity or to remove inappropriate content.

This licence covers only the text you choose to post publicly. It does not give us permission to use any student's photograph, video, voice, name, schoolwork or testimonial for publicity. That requires separate, specific permission under Section G of our Privacy Policy.

6. Reporting Harmful Content

If you see a Comment, link or other content on the Website that you think is harmful, offensive, inaccurate or unlawful, please tell us using the details in Section 12, with "Website content report" in the subject line and a link to the content.

• We will acknowledge your report within 2 working days and review the content.
• Where content breaks these Terms, we will take proportionate action, such as editing or removing it, or restricting the poster's ability to comment.
• Where appropriate, we will tell the person who reported it and the person who posted it what action we have taken and why. Either of them can ask for the decision to be reviewed under Section 12.

7. Linking to Our Website

You may link to the public pages of the Website without asking us first, as long as the link:

• Is not deceptive in any way;
• Does not falsely suggest that we sponsor, endorse or approve you, your organisation or your products or services;
• Fits within the context of the site it appears on.

Links may use our name, the web address being linked to, or a fair description of the page. You must not use our logo or other artwork in a link without our written permission.

You must not display the Website inside a frame on another website (for example, using an iframe) in a way that changes how it looks or hides that it is our Website, without our written permission.

The Website may contain links to websites run by other organisations, such as examination boards. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We work to keep important information on the Website accurate and up to date, including information about our programmes, curricula, accreditations, fees, school timings and policies.

• If you notice an error, please tell us using the details in Section 12. We will check it and correct it promptly where needed.
• If information on the Website differs from the written documents you receive at admission or enrolment, please contact us. We will explain which applies and correct the Website if it is wrong.
• We aim to keep the Website available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.

10. Free Website Content and Paid School Services

Free content: blogs, articles, worksheets, word lists and other resources on the Website are provided free of charge for general information and learning. We take care to make them accurate and useful, but they are not a substitute for professional or personalised advice, and you use them at your own discretion.

Paid education services: the statements and limits in this Section and in Section 11 that relate to free content and general Website use do not apply to the paid education services we provide to enrolled students. Those services are governed by the enrolment terms and the policies listed in Section 2, including the Refund Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the free Website content or from the Website being temporarily unavailable. Nothing in these Terms will:

• Limit or exclude our or your liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• Limit or exclude our or your liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• Limit any of our or your liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law;
• Affect any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

We will acknowledge every message within 2 working days and aim to give a full response within 10 working days. Working days are Monday to Saturday, excluding school holidays, in Indian Standard Time (IST).

13. Changes to These Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time. The version number and effective date are shown below, and important changes will be highlighted on this page.
• Changes to these Website Terms do not change the enrolment agreement or fee terms of students who are already enrolled. Those can only change as described in the relevant policy, such as the Refund Policy.
• Changes to these Terms do not allow us to use personal information in new ways. Any new use of personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy, including asking for consent where required.
• Previous versions of these Terms are available on request.
