Why Choose Our Year 12 Program

The most consequential year of school, and the one that demands the most from a student. Our Year 12 program combines academic rigor, structured exam preparation, and university counseling to deliver the results your future requires.

1. The ATAR — your university entry rank

Year 12 ATAR courses are externally examined by SCSA. Your results are scaled by TISC into a percentile rank from 0 to 99.95, accepted by universities in Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, and globally.

2.Official WACE certificate

On completion of Year 12, students receive the Western Australian Certificate of Education — issued directly by SCSA, Government of Western Australia. A credential with 37 years of international standing.

3. Access to the world's top universities

WACE graduates gain access to the Group of Eight, Russell Group, Ivy League, and leading universities in Asia, Canada, and Europe — plus all Indian universities via AIU recognition since 2023.

4. Externally benchmarked examinations

Year 12 ATAR exams are set by SCSA and evaluated in Australia — ensuring the same academic standard as students in Western Australia and internationally. Held in April for Indian students.

5. Eligible for Indian entrance exams

WACE is AIU-recognized, making graduates fully eligible for JEE, NEET, CUET, CLAT, NATA, IPMAT, and all other major Indian national entrance examinations.

6. Merit-based scholarships

High-achieving Year 12 students are eligible for the Government of Western Australia Bursary of up to AUD 20,000, and academic scholarships from partner universities based on ATAR score and student profile.

Year 12 Curriculum

Units 3 and 4 in every subject, the culminating year of senior secondary study. All content is externally examinable in ATAR courses, requiring the highest level of subject mastery and exam-ready preparation.

English

English is compulsory for Year 12. Students sit an external written examination — the culmination of two years of advanced communication, analysis, and literary study.

Mathematics

Mathematics in Year 12 builds directly on Year 11 content and concludes with the SCSA external examination. The correct course is critical — it determines university prerequisites for science, engineering, commerce, and technology.

Science

Year 12 science students complete both school-based investigations and an external written examination. Science subjects in Year 12 are a common prerequisite for medicine, engineering, and health programs.

Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)

HASS subjects in Year 12 require extended written examination responses — from historical essays to economics analysis. These subjects develop the analytical and communication skills valued by universities and professions worldwide.

How Your Child Learns in Year 12

Intensive, exam-focused teaching that combines subject mastery, structured revision, and university counselling — everything needed to perform at the highest level in the SCSA external examinations.

1. Exam-focused specialist teaching

Lessons are taught by subject specialists who understand what SCSA examinations demand — structuring teaching around the skills, content, and response formats that earn marks.

2. Structured exam preparation

Timed practice papers, past SCSA examination responses, modelled answers, and structured revision programs — so students walk into the exam knowing exactly what to expect.

3. School-based assessment support

The 50% school-based component is managed throughout the year with structured assignment guidance, feedback, and marking calibrated to SCSA achievement standards.

4. University and ATAR counselling

Dedicated guidance on ATAR calculation, university entry requirements, personal statements, and scholarship applications — so students convert their results into the right university offers.

5. Digital platform and revision tools

Recorded lessons, summary notes, examination resources, and progress tracking — all available between sessions to support intensive self-directed revision through the exam period.

6.Continuous feedback and tracking

Regular school-based assessments with detailed feedback. Students and families can track progress against ATAR targets throughout the year — with clear guidance on where to focus effort.

Your Gateway to the World's Top Universities

Year 12 is the year everything comes together. Every subject studied, every assignment submitted, and every examination sat in Year 12 contributes to a single credential, the WACE certificate and ATAR rank, that is recognized by the finest universities in the world.

Our Year 12 program does not simply deliver the curriculum. It prepares students for the examination, guides them through the university application process, and ensures that every student converts two years of work into results and offers them the future they deserve. Specialist teaching, structured exam preparation, and dedicated university counseling run in parallel throughout the year.

For students in India, WACE offers something unique: a qualification that is simultaneously accepted by the Group of Eight in Australia, Russell Group universities in the UK, Ivy League institutions in the USA, and recognized by the AIU for Indian university admission and all major national entrance examinations.
